Jennings appointed as Chadron State’s Student Trustee

Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Christopher Jennings to serve as Chadron State College student trustee on the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State College System.

LINCOLN – Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Christopher Jennings to serve as Chadron State College student trustee on the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State College System. Jennings will serve out the remainder of the 2024-25 academic year following the resignation of Alec Langan.

"The Board of Trustees truly appreciates the unique perspectives and fresh insights our student leaders contribute. It is my privilege to welcome our new Chadron State Student Trustee," said John Chaney, chair of the Board of Trustees of the NSCS.

Jennings, a junior, is majoring in human biology and chemistry with a minor in music. He has served as the president of Turning Point USA, plays an instrument the low winds section leader of the CSC Wind Symphony, and a strength and conditioning graduate assistant for high school football, and track and field.

When addressing his role as a student trustee, Jennings said he is dedicated to serving as the student body's voice in the decision-making process as well as a strong representative for Chadron State and the Nebraska State College System.

Jennings, the son of Molly and William Jennings of O’Neill, Nebraska, joins student trustees Braxton Dalton of Wayne State College and Cayla Schuster of Peru State College.
