Paul David Quicke was born on April 15th, 1955, in Petersburg, Virginia, the son of James and Virginia (Alger) Quicke. He lived in Morehead, West Virginia, with his family until they moved to McCook, Nebraska, and later to Kimball, Nebraska. He attended Kimball County High School and graduated in 1973.  Paul was married to Diana Plumlee in Kimball. He worked for the State Department of Roads for several years, and later served as the Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager for the City of Kimball until his retirement in 2022.

Paul was an avid hunter and gun collector who loved his dogs, Rosa and Tulip. He enjoyed spending summers in Custer, South Dakota, four-wheeling on their side-by-side. A loving, caring, and generous individual, Paul would give you the shirt off his back. He loved doing things and going places, especially to Sidney to spend time shopping at Cabela’s, as well as visiting Scottsbluff and Cheyenne. Christmas was a favorite time for Paul, as he always loved getting his picture taken with Santa Claus. He had a great sense of humor and lived a full, meaningful life.
