KIMBALL -- Tap into your artistic side by attending a painting event at Nebraska Coffee next month.

Heather Lerwick of Pine Bluffs, WY is collaborating with Nebraska Coffee to host a painting session on Feb. 2 at 4 p.m.

Participants will paint a canvas picture while socializing and enjoying a drink from the coffee shop.

Admission is $40, which includes all supplies, one free drink and the picture that you create to take home.

Lerwick hosts a monthly painting class in Pine Bluffs, which has included a few Kimball residents who requested she host one in Kimball.

“We have a lot of fun,” Lerwick said. “For people who say they can’t paint, by the end of the class, they go home with something that is super cool; I enjoy watching people do that.”

Painting has been a longtime hobby of Lerwick’s, so hosting the classes has been another way for her to enjoy her painting and share the artistic hobby with others.

“My kids will graduate in a couple of years, so I wanted to start something to give me something to do, and I love painting and sharing that with people,” Lerwick said. “You go home with a painting, you feel good about it, you get to hang with your friends; we do a lot of laughing and it’s a lot of fun.”

Call Lerwick at 307-287-8154 by Jan. 29 to reserve your spot.
