The lady longhorns traveled to Hershey to play a consolation game against Perkins County on Friday afternoon. To spite a late game comeback, they fell to the lady plainsmen 48-37. The loss puts the longhorns in a battle for 5th place as they play their third game of the tournament on Saturday at 3:30 pm.

The longhorn boys beat North Platte St. Pats in the SPVA semifinal Friday afternoon. St Pats kept the game close, and even led for most of the second and third quarters, but with consistent play by brothers Kyler and Kaymen Lusche and three-point help from Braxton Miller, the longhorns overcame a one point halftime deficit to win the game. They led 50-46 until a buzzer beating three point shot ended the game with Kimball pulling off the one point victory 50-49.

The win combined with Bridgeport's win over Perkins County in their semifinal game earlier Friday means that Kimball and Bridgeport will face-off for the third time in eight days on Saturday, this time for the SPVA title. The bulldogs beat Kimball in Bridgeport last Friday night before Kimball kicked off the SPVA tournament by beating Bridgeport in Kimball on Monday. Saturday's game will be played at North Platte Community College at 5:00 pm.

The 3:30 pm girls game and the 5:00 pm boys game will be carried live on 104.3 KIMB and 1043kimb.com.
