Sterling FD provides mutual aid for Fleming Fire with structure fire

Sterling firefighters provided mutual aid for Fleming Fire Wednesday responding to a structure fire on Logan County Road 8.

FLEMING, Colo. -- Sterling Fire Department assisted Fleming Fire with a reported structure fire early Wednesday afternoon.
 
Sterling's Station 1 and recall crews responded mutual aid to the 34000 block of County Road 8 with Fleming Fire on a reported structure fire.
 
First arriving on the scene were Logan County Sheriff's Office deputies. Deputies reported fire throughout a shop building and the roof had collapsed.
 
First arriving fire units deployed attack lines for a defensive fire attack and structure protection. Crews spent an extended time utilizing a backhoe to remove debris and complete overhaul.
 
Units responding include Engine 12, Engine 3141, Tender 15, Tender 16, Tender 47, and BAT 401.
