Ogallala grad appears on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - North Platte’s Dr. Melissa Mosel appeared on Friday evening’s episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune.’

The Ogallala High School graduate and current pediatrician at great plains health made her national television appearance Friday and got to celebrate with friends and family at a North Platte restaurant with a lively watch party.

Mosel made it to the final round of the game show and even won a trip.

“It was super fun, it was a very long day but the producers were very nice,” Mosel said. “Everyone there was very accommodating. I got to meet a lot of new friends from all over the country. It was a little nerve racking but my show was at the very end of the day so I had a little bit of time to acclimate.”

Mosel mentioned what it was like talking to the celebrities who host the show.

“Ryan and Vanna are so nice, very down to earth, they answered any questions we had,” Mosel said. “They talked to the audience during breaks. They were just very sweet people. It was a lot of fun, I encourage everyone to try and submit their application to be on it.”

Mosel won over $17,000 during her episode.
