Troopers find marijuana, mushrooms, handgun in traffic stop

Two people are facing charges after police found pot and a loaded handgun after a traffic stop.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- Two people are facing charges after police found pot and a loaded handgun after a traffic stop. 

The Nebraska State Patrol says they pulled over a car on I-80 near Kimball Tuesday morning. 

The trooper became suspicious of criminal activity and a search turned up 37 pounds of marijuana, more than a pound of psychedelic mushrooms, and a handgun. 

The driver, 19-year-old Myra Williamson of California and passenger, 22-year-old Andrew Mendoza of California were both arrested on several drug and weapon charges.
