SIDNEY, NE — An administrator at Sidney Public Schools was transported to a local hospital after a crash in northeast Sidney Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 30 and 385 at about 8:45 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, officials saw a pickup truck with severe front end damage and a camper trailer attached to a second pickup truck on its side.

According to the accident report, the first pickup truck, driven by Sidney High School Principal Chris Arent, was heading southbound on Highway 385. The pickup hauling the camper trailer, driven by Robert Keenan of Casper, Wyo., was westbound on Highway 30.

According to authorities, Keenan failed to stop at the stop sign and continued into the intersection. As a result, Arent hit the trailer.

Arent was taken to Sidney Regional Medical Center as a result. Neither Keenan nor his passengers were injured, according to the accident report.

Keenan was cited for the accident.
