The Western Nebraska Community College men’s basketball team will have to wait until Monday, January 10 to open the second semester after games this weekend have been canceled because of traveling reasons.

The Cougars were scheduled to play at the Power to Play Classic, but that classic was canceled because of weather earlier in the week. Then the Cougars added a game with Air Force Prep in Colorado Springs, Colorado, today (Friday) but, because of traveling issues, that game had to be canceled. WNCC was also to play Western Wyoming Community College on Saturday in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but because of traveling difficulties for Western Wyoming, that game had to be canceled.

So, both the Cougar men and women will open the second semester on Monday when they host Casper College beginning at 5:30 p.m.
