Medical helicopter responds to vehicle rollover near Potter

A medical helicopter was called to the scene of a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 80 near mile marker 37 west of Potter Thursday evening.

POTTER - The driver involved in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 80 at mile-marker 37 between Potter and Dix Thursday evening is expected to be okay. 

Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson Cody Thomas says the driver, who was not named, was transported via medical helicopter to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff with non-life-threatening injuries.

A heavily damaged vehicle could be seen in the ditch south of the interstate. 

Traffic was slowed in the eastbound lanes, but all lanes of the interstate remained open.

Potter, Kimball and Sidney Volunteer Fire Departments, Regional West EMS and Airlink responded to the accident. 

No other information was released.
