Potter buckles up for the annual Car Bowl
On Friday, June 24th, and Saturday, June 25th, the city of Potter is hosting its annual Car Bowl.
POTTER, Neb. -- The Village of Potter is hosting the 8th Annual Potter Car Bowl this weekend.
The yearly car show begins Friday night with food at 6 p.m., a BBQ contest at 7 p.m., and live music until 10 p.m.
On Saturday, the Car Bowl kicks off at 9 a.m. when the Potter Museum opens, the craft fair and silent auction start, and the bowling tournament begins. For the youth, car building and derby registration also begin at 9 a.m. at the Youth Center.
The beer and wine tasting begins at 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., car and BBQ judging begin. Chili tasting for the public will also begin at 11 a.m. and at 12 p.m. chicken and brisket tasting will be available to the public.
The Air National Guard will have a corn hole tournament in the morning and a critter close-up event at 2 p.m.
Beer and wine tasting with live music will continue through the afternoon. Another live auction starts at 2 p.m. and Juke Joint Cruisers will be from 2:30 to 7 p.m., with a 3:30 break for awards. All of these events will take place at the Rail Road Park in Potter.
