SIDNEY -- The Sidney Board of Education Monday approved a contract with Andrew Farber to be the next district superintendent.

Farber's acceptance of the position was announced in January.

The contract calls for a salary of $165,000 per year paid in monthly installments.

The contract includes a description of the superintendent's duties, the Board-superintendent relationship, compensation for District-related expenses and benefits.

The contract also includes two reviews in his first year as superintendent. The contract also includes a requirement that Farber live within the school district while employed as district superintendent.

"Everything is as we discussed," said board president Michael Palmer.

Jay and his wife Sheri Ehler submitted their resignation in early December 2022.
