Gering Girls, Torrington Boys pick up soccer wins

GERING, Neb. (KNEP) - The Gering soccer teams in action Tuesday taking on Torrington. The girls contest saw Gering pick up a 6-0 win over the Lady Trailblazers. Allison Herbel leading the Gering offense scoring three goals in the win. Gering improves to 2-2 on the season.
Tuesday’s game was also senior night for the Gering ladies as Carleigh Pszanka, Madison Herbel, Savannah Baird, Hallyn Nauenburg, and Emily Bauer all honored.
The boys contest saw Torrington earn an 8-3 win over the Bulldogs. Four Trailblazers pick up goals in the win including Anthony Arnusch and Elijah Hatch each scoring three goals.
Torrington boys improve to 1-0 while Gering falls to 0-3 on the season.
Gering returns to action Thursday against Newcastle while Torrington set to host Douglas on Saturday.
