Peetz volleyball team confident in 2023 season

PEETZ, Colo. -- The Peetz Lady Bulldogs volleyball team is ready to show their skills before league competition.
The Peetz High School gym was busy with the sound of volleyballs smacked to the other side of the court as players prepared for the quickly-approaching 2023 season.
"We have 17 (players) currently. We're really excited. We have a pretty young team. We have two leading seniors, no juniors and a handful of freshmen and sophomores," Lady Bulldogs coach Becky Leach said.
Leach said while the team has experience spread across the four grades, she is confident in the season.
"I feel really good about it. We have some great talent," she said.
The Lady Bulldogs start the season with a scrimmage match with Caliche High School; busses leaving at 3:20 p.m. today, August 18.
The volleyball team then returns to the court at home hosting Fleming High School. Game start at 5:30 p.m. The team then returns to the court August 31 to host Prairie High School.
