KIMBALL COUNTY -- A Dix man was arrested on four charges July 17 by the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth Childs, 65, of Dix was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, disturbing the peace, and criminal mischief.

Sheriff David Hottell says it was reported that Childs swung a weed scythe at an individual while saying something about hitting him with it.

Hottell adds that upon further investigation, some of the charges could be amended before he gets arraigned.

Childs has had multiple run-ins with the law in the past and is currently on probation for perjury.

Kimball County Sheriff’s Office says all individuals are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
