Dennis "DC" M. Cleveland
Dennis “DC” M. Cleveland, 74, of Kimball, died on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Following his wishes, cremation has been held and no services will be held at this time. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view his tribute wall and share condolences and stories with the family. Contributions in his memory may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The services for Dennis have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Dennis M. Cleveland, born on November 9th, 1950, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Richard and Pearl (Trumbull) Cleveland. He lived with his family in Kimball and attended Kimball Public Schools, graduating from Kimball County High School in 1969. Following graduation, Dennis worked for Z&S Construction on their roustabout crew and later worked for T.C. Avila as a roustabout in the oil field. In 1990, he established C&C Oil Field Services, Inc., a business he owned until his retirement in August 2023.
Dennis was married to Lori Arnold on June 4th, 2001, in Deadwood, South Dakota. He had a passion for cars, especially his 1969 Camaro, a bright yellow vehicle that he proudly showcased at many shows. He also had a 1932 Ford, which he was very fond of and often displayed. Dennis had a deep love for muscle cars in general.
In addition to his passion for cars, Dennis was a musician, playing guitar in a band called The Fugitives. He also enjoyed competing in demolition derbies, showcasing his love for both music and motorsports. Dennis was known for his sarcastic and dry sense of humor, he would always say “Beets Me” as they would pass a pile of sugar beets, bringing smiles to those around him. Dennis will be remembered for his kind heart, his passion for cars, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Survivors include his wife Lori Cleveland of Kimball, NE; step-son Justin (Tammy) Tucker of Olympia, WA; daughters Misty Cleveland and friend Tad Phillips of Scottsbluff, NE., Jessica Cleveland also of Scottsbluff, NE., and Kerry Baker of Kimball, NE; brothers Jim (Margaret) Cleveland of Kimball, NE., Dale (Kathy) Cleveland of Sidney, NE., and Steve Cleveland of Cheyenne, WY; sister Della Myers of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren Damon Tucker and Kylee Tucker and Keaton Fisher; 6 nephews and 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
