HASTINGS, Neb. – Behind another electric performance from sophomore Hunter Nepple, the Adams Central Patriots handed #3 Grand Island Central Catholic their first loss on the road this season.

The first half was a defensive battle, as Adams Central led at halftime with just a 12-10 advantage.

The scoring came alive in the second half with the top scorers on each team hitting their strides.

Adams Central led 31-27 after three quarters, and took a 37-30 lead in the 4th quarter.

But, GICC's Braylon Wolfe hit back-to-back three pointers to cut the lead to one.

However, that would be as close as the Crusaders would get as Nepple took over the 4th quarter for AC, and capped off his night with 25 points.

Adams Central came out on top 51-42 to improve to 9-6, and GICC dropped to 12-3 after winning their previous 10 contests.
