Kimball’s Rachel Berger signs with University of Sioux Falls for wrestling, choir

KIMBALL, Neb. — Kimball High School senior Rachel Berger is set to continue both her academic and athletic career at the University of Sioux Falls, signing her letter of intent to join the USF women’s wrestling team while also participating in the university’s choir.
Berger, who has played a pivotal role in helping establish Kimball’s girls’ wrestling program, plans to pursue a degree in Early Education. She will also receive an academic scholarship in recognition of her dedication to both her studies and athletics.
School officials, coaches, and administrators praised Berger’s contributions to the school’s activities program, highlighting her commitment, leadership and impact on the community.
“Her passion and hard work have been invaluable in helping to establish our new girls' wrestling program, and we are immensely proud of everything she has accomplished,” the school stated in a release.
As she prepares for the next step in her journey, Berger leaves behind a lasting impact on Kimball’s wrestling program.
“Rachel, we thank you for your commitment, leadership and the positive impact you have made on our community,” the release continued. “We know you will excel in this next chapter of your life and wish you nothing but success.”
