Ogallala authorities investigate firearm theft from pickup

A black Glock Model 26 handgun was stolen from a pickup in Ogallala between Aug. 25–26, authorities said. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

OGALLALA, Neb. — Authorities are investigating the theft of a firearm from a vehicle in Ogallala earlier this week.

According to Tri-County Crime Stoppers, the incident happened sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 and 12 p.m. on Aug. 26 on the 300 block of East 9th Street. A black Glock Model 26 handgun was reported stolen from a pickup.

Tri-County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for anonymous information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact law enforcement or Tri-County Crime Stoppers.
