SIDNEY -- The Sidney Jaycees are conducting a snack drive for elementary schools in Sidney.

Jaycee member Ashley Hopkins said the effort is to support schools and their students.

"Our goal is to supply Sidney elementary schools with snacks for the remainder of the school year," Hopkins said.

The snack drive ends October 16.

"The snacks we're looking for are individually-wrapped, store-bought, nut-free, and bonus if you can get diabetic-friendly and gluten-free options for our kids that have those needs," she said.

Donations can be made at participating Sidney businesses.

"Drop off locations are Busted Knuckle, Boss City, Dudes and Beans & Steams," she said.

Donations will be accepted until 5:30 p.m. October 16 at the Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce office.

"We will be presenting the final snack total, and we have a Jaycees announcement," Hopkins said.
