ALLIANCE, Neb. (KNOP) - If you’re looking for a fun excuse to read something new, and a chance at a romantic night out, the Alliance Public Library has you covered.

The library’s Blind Date with a Book contest runs Jan. 9 through Feb. 12 and gives patrons ages 16 and older the chance to check out a wrapped title and enter to win a date-night prize that includes dinner and a movie.

Stop by the Alliance Public Library, choose one book from the special Blind Date display, and check it out. Each book cover in the display is concealed with wrapping paper and comes with a brief description that offers clues about the title inside. There is a one-book checkout limit per participant, and every checkout from the display counts as one entry in the prize drawing.

The winner will be selected and announced at 3 p.m. on February 12, the final day of the event. The Blind Date with a Book program is sponsored by the APL Foundation, which is providing the prize package.
