Remains found in Saunders County, could belong to murdered couple

The Lincoln Police Department has found human remains while searching an area of interest

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Lincoln Police Department has found human remains while searching an area of interest in Saunders County.

Police say they can not confirm the number of individuals or their identities until they get DNA or dental records for positive identification.

According to our news partners 10/11 now, the death penalty is being sought for Sterling James, 24, who is accused of shooting and killing his half-brother and pregnant wife in January.

Hannah Neville, 26, of Stromsburg, and her husband Roberto Tanner, 27, of Lincoln, along with their unborn child, are believed to be deceased, according to Lincoln Police.

James is facing two counts of first-degree murder and first-degree murder of an unborn child.

His wife, Sayde Titus, 22, faces accessory charges to all three murders.

Law enforcement remain on scene.
