Jokers and Jester to perform in Chappell on Sunday evening
The touring variety show specializes in small town entertainment.
SIDNEY, Neb.-- The touring comedy group Jokers and Jester will be in Chappell on Sunday. They perform at the Rusty Bucket at 7:00 pm.
The group do more than 300 shows over 10 months each year. The Chappell show will be their 314th show this year in 40 different states. Next year the show will make a number of international stops.
Jake Daniels, the groups leader, is a magician, musician and comedian. He acts as the jester of the show while the "Jokers" are comedians that perform stand-up comedy during what Jake calls "a great big variety show." At least one of the comedians will be with Jake at the Rusty Bucket.
They commonly start the show playing games with the crowd, then expect music, jokes, and magic. All the tricks Jake performs are his own invention so you've never seen them before.
Jake recommends getting there about 6:00 pm to get good seats for the show. Everyone 16 and up is welcome.
