Sidney's first 'All is Bright' indoor Christmas tour starts in two weeks
Area children and adults alike will have the opportunity to tour Christmas scenes, indoors, without the stress of winter weather at Cheyenne County's first 'All is Bright' Christmas Tour.
SIDNEY -- Cheyenne County Tourism Director Kendra Mitchell plans to celebrate Christmas with and without winter weather.
This year Cheyenne County will host its first "All is Bright" Christmas Tour. The indoor Christmas tour will be held at the pavilion building at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., November 25, December 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16.
Admission is free.
The concept is related to the practice of driving a neighborhood or community and viewing Christmas lights ... but the decorations will be inside and protected from any cold or snowy weather.
The project is still a work in progress but Mitchell is optimistic the event will entertain the community.
"I'm getting started setting up the All is Bright Christmas Tour at the county fairgrounds. This is where people will enter into the pavilion building," Mitchell said while explaining the tour.
She said reindeer will be on display where the pigpens are outside of the pavilion.
The tour is designed for people to enter from the pavilion from the reindeer stables. From there, the floor of the pavilion will be decorated as a path leading viewers through several exhibits. There will also be a stage for performances, and a hot chocolate vendor. There will also be a nativity scene.
The "All is Bright" Christmas Tour will include activities for children, a free photo booth and live entertainment. Santa will be present each night except December 2 when he will stop at the Holiday In Hickory event in downtown Sidney.
