WYOMING -- Wyoming voters are overwhelmingly supporting John Barrasso for the U.S. Senate.

According to the Wyoming Secretary of State website, Barrasso collected more than 70,000 votes statewide. The next closest is Reid Rasner with 25,424. John Holtz came in with 7,867 votes.

The August 20 Primary also had 3,524 Undervotes and 1,756 write-in votes statewide. 

In Goshen County, 2,341 voters supported Barrasso, 191 cast their vote for Holtz and 691 were for Rasner.

In Laramie County, 10,297 voters supported Barrasso, 3,087 Rasner and 1,444 Holtz.

Voters on the Democrat ticket favored Scott D. Morrow with 10,088 votes statewide. Morrow ran unopposed on the Democratic ticket. However, there were 178 write-in votes statewide.

Goshen County has 152 votes for Morrow, five write-ins and seven undervotes.

In the House of Representatives race, Goshen County voters favor Harriet Hageman 2,748 over Steven R. Helling's 388. In Laramie County, voters came out 10,906 for Hageman and 3,705 for Heiling.  On the Democratic side, Goshen voters cast 148 votes for Kyle G. Cameron and Laramie voters cast 2,272. There were 43 write-in votes in Laramie County an 5 in Goshen County.

An overvote is when a voter chooses more candidates than a voter is permitted to choose for a specific office. An undervote is when a voter chooses fewer candidates for an office than is allowed.
