Dennis Lee Brothers, age 81, of Potter NE passed away on Saturday, November 16th, 2024. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. with family present from 4:00-6:00 P.M. to leave condolences for the family. 

A Funeral Service will be held at a later date in Iowa. Inurnment will be in the Guttenberg Cemetery in Guttenberg, IA. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial money to be donated to the Potter Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.

Dennis was born in Kimball, NE on February 9th, 1943 to Glen and Dorothy Brothers. He attended country school through 8th grade, then attended Kimball High School his freshman year. Then transferred to Dix High School and graduated in 1961. After high school Dennis attended Milford Technical School in Milford NE majoring in electronics. After graduating from Milford Dennis was hired by Collins Rockwell in Cedar Rapids Iowa. He worked at Collins Rockwell until 1976 when he then moved back to Potter NE to farm with his father. Dennis started his own business called Western Nebraska Electronics which he owned and operated until the time of his death. Dennis had the only certified Collins Rockwell repair center in the United States. Dennis was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Fischer on November 1st, 1975 in Anamosa Iowa.

Dennis is survived by his wife Patricia Brothers of Potter, NE, Children Dena Moffit (Ron) of

Cedar Rapids, IA, Darren (Stephanie) Brothers of Spring, TX, Dan (Suzy) Brothers Colorado Springs CO, Kerri (Mike) Slack of Gibbon, NE. 5 grandchildren: Nathan (Jillian) Brothers of Cedar Rapids IA, Mack Moffit of Cedar Rapids, IA, Summer and Dorothy Brothers of Spring, TX and Ashlyn Dealey (Colton) of Wichita, KS, and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Roger (DiAnna) Brothers of Dix, NE, brother-in-law Dale Clarey of Gering, NE, sister-in-law Lorna Fischer of Cedar Rapids, IA, sister-in-law Shirley (Phil) Hoppe of Robins, IA, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Dorothy Brothers, sister Lana

Clarey, and his father and mother-in-law Forrest (Hilda) Fischer.
