SIDNEY -- Today, March 17, marks the beginning of Nebraska Trial Court Week.
It is a time set aside to highlight the critical role of Nebraska’s dedicated trial court judges, court clerks and administrators, official court reporters and court staff who comprise the Nebraska state trial courts.
In Cheyenne County, the week started with Judge Weimer recognizing staff of the District Court. The event began with District Court Clerk Mindy Weigand welcoming guests and staff to the reception.
"I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible team at the Cheyenne County District Court. Your hard work and dedication ensure that we serve the court users and the public with efficiency, accuracy, and integrity. Thank you to Shelly Jackson and Joelyann Saucedo, who have been with us for two years. Their leadership and innovation have propelled our court into the future while upholding the highest standards of administration and service," Weigand said.
The reception also included recognition of Court Reporter Lynn Namuth. She marks her 25th year of service to the 12th Judicial District Courts this year. Judge Weimer shared letters of accommodation and thanks from Nebraska Supreme Court Chief Justice Jeffrey Funke and Nebraska State Court Administrator Corey Steele. He commended her for her professionalism, dedication, and friendship over their careers together.
Nebraska Trial Court Week is an opportunity for Nebraskans to celebrate the vital role that local courts and their personnel play in ensuring access to the civil, criminal, and juvenile justice systems.
