Sen. Fischer advocates for She Drives Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Deb Fischer called on Congress to pass her She Drives Act following the National Traffic Safety Administration’s announcement of a new advanced female crash dummy.

Sen. Fischer said she had pushed for years for updated crash standards that account for all American drivers, particularly women.

She said improved testing standards will save lives and make roads safer.

Fischer introduced the She Drives Act in 2024 calling for the use of a female crash test dummy.

A press release from the administration mentions “the Left” and “restoring biological truth to the federal government.”

It also says the dummy, THOR-05F,  has 150 advanced sensors to improve information collection for frontal crashes involving small females. Sensors will reveal how seatbelts, air bags and vehicle structures perform with female bodies, in particular the brain, thorax, abdominal, pelvic and lower leg.
