Mary Lanning Healthcare hopes to have new CEO within six months

HASTINGS, Neb. — Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings is ramping up their search for a new CEO.

David Zechman was named interim CEO last September. According to Zechman, he and the board of trustees have begun searching for a permanent leader and have already received more than one hundred applications for the role.

Zechman told News Channel Nebraska that any CEO hire will require strong fiscal acumen, but must also value the people at MLH, "You have to be a servant leader. You have to show kindness and compassion, not just for patients - but for the employees that serve those patients. In my opinion, that's the number one pre-requisite."
