The board of Regional West Health Services, parent of Regional West Medical Center, has named Chief Operating Officer Amanda Vick as acting President and CEO.

Vick will serve until the board picks a permanent successor to John Mentgen, who announced earlier in the week without explanation that he was stepping down after 8 years in the dual post.

A registered nurse with an MBA, Vick came to Regional West in July 2019 as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, then was promoted in May to Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer while retaining the post of Chief Nursing Officer.

She came to Regional West from a little over two years at LifePoint Health, where she’d advanced from Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to Market Chief Nursing Officer of its SageWest Health Care in Riverton, Wyo.
